RZW Introduces New Web Site

RZW unveiled its new web site to the public on July 7, 2006 at www.rzwlaw.com. The site is intended to reflect our focus on the construction industry and the depth of our experience while also being easy to navigate and visually appealing.

Jeff Regan Named One Of Florida’s Legal Elite

In July, 2006, Jeff Regan was named one of Florida’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine. This distinction is reserved for the top 1.8% of attorneys licensed and practicing in the Florida, as determined by peer review. Mr. Regan was the only attorney in Jacksonville named in the Construction Law practice area listing.

Jeff Regan named Florida Super Lawyer

In June, 2006, Jeff Regan was named a Florida Super Lawyer by Law & Politics magazine. This honor is reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in Florida as determined by peer survey and independent research by Law & Politics.

RZW hosts North Florida Governmental Construction Symposium

On June 23, 2006, RZW hosted the 5th North Florida Governmental Construction Symposium at the new City of Jacksonville Downtown Library. The seminar offered a unique opportunity for private construction firms to interact with and receive valuable information from various government agencies, including the City of Jacksonville, Duval County School District and JEA.

Anthony Zebouni of RZW spoke on recent developments in the law pertaining to government contracting. Steve Rohan, Co-Ethics Officer with the City of Jacksonville, spoke on ethics topics pertaining to contracting with the government. Beth Tramel with the Duval County School District and Ken Covington with the JEA provided information about the local JSEB and MBE programs. The seminar concluded with a panel discussion on contracting with the government. The panel included: Bill Barron, Vice President of Jensen Civil Construction and President of the North Florida Chapter of the Florida Utility Contractors Association; Edgar Hall, the Deputy Director of Public Works with the City of Jacksonville; and Ryan Schmidt, Vice President/General Manager of A.J. Johns Inc. and President of the Florida Utility Contractors Association.

The seminar was well attended and RZW is very grateful to all of the speakers and attendees.
